Now you can locate neighboring sims that share and may abuse your CPU resources in Second Life. If they are hogging all the sim resources, you can report them, if you know who they are.
Type your sim's name and we will tell you who your neighbors are. If one of my translators has visited your sim and any of your neighbors, it will appear in this database. Here is a another solution: this update script you can use to keep your sims stats updated.
Registered bots named 'Que Composer' or 'Mars Martian' periodically scan all known sims about once a week for deep coverage. In addition, the free translator fills this database for quick coverage. (All bots must be registered with Linden Labs in your account settings.) This web site stores the simulator IP Address and name in a database so that it can match which sims are on the same computer. No client IP address is logged, sent, or is ever possible to view. No information on avatars is stored, and no chat is ever sent to this site. There is no way for me, or anyone else, to associate your private IP address, chat, or any other information with your name or avatar key. Sometimes the bot gets stuck. They should be there for no more than a few seconds at an altitude of 2000 meters, however, teleport routing can override this and drop them where you invited them. In that case, please eject the bot. If you ban them, your sim stats will eventually be removed from this database.
Your sim may be hosted on an AMD Opteron chip, or if it is a newer sim, it is running on an Intel Xeon chip, a low-power version of Intel's new Core 2 Duo server CPU. Regions return a CPU class code as part of their details when queried using a modified client. It is an integer value. According to Tyche Shepard, these codes in 2010 are Class 7, 5, and 501. The Lindens are also also using Nehalem quad core CPU's for Linden homes.
What SIM am I on? According to post by Jack Linden, all sims are now being upgraded to Class 5. ...(more) |

All sims in the Second Life system are shared with other users. Your sim may be sharing a single CPU core with a script-hogging, texture-filled region with a huge number of avatars and bots, and you would never know it except when your performance drops. This is especially true of OpenSpace and Homestead regions, where multiple copies of the server are run on the same CPU core. See the chart on the left for more details
